About the wave
Also known as HTs or Hollow Trees. A hollow, fast right over very shallow reef at Katiet on the southern tip of Sipora, and one of the most famous waves in the Mentawais. Best on a south-west swell with north-west winds. Advanced surfers only, and reef boots are worth packing.
